*Martha,s grandfathe stands out as the most respectable Character in the story.He is an old farmer.He is hardworking and somewhat rich. He loves his grandfather very much.He is honest and straightforward.He believes that they pay for the jacket it can't be called a scholarship jacket.SO he refuses to pay for it.He is practical-minded too.He hopes that the principal will make out the justice in their decision and change his mind.And it happens so.Thus,we  see that Martha's grandfather is very lovable and respectable character.

👉The stories'Vanka' and 'The Castaway' deal with the difficulties faced by children.prepare a speech on the topic Child Labour,based on the stories.

Child labour is a most important problem in the world.In the stories ' Vanka' and ' The Castawy' we see how pathetic the lives of these two boys are!Vanka suffers severe torture at his master's house.He says that his life is worse than a dog's.He longs very much to escape from his cruel master and mistress.Similarly,Nilkanta,in the story 'The Castawy' is also highly relieved when he excapes from the master of the theatrical group.It was hard to tell his age from his face and his acts.There are so many causes for childlabour.Poverty  and illiteracy come first.children are forced to work to increase the income of the family.Childlabour is totally forbidden in many countries, but has been an international challenge in most countries even today.

As We all know the future of every country is in the hands of children.It is high time the governments took stern steps to abolish child labour for ever.
