*It is the association between genes located on the same chromosome.suc genes are called linked genes.Linkage is the physical association of genes on a chromosome.It is of two types - complete linkage and incomplete linkage.In complete linkage genes are closely placed and show very low recombination.In incomplete linkage genes are distantly placed and show high recombination.The strength of linkage is inversely proportional to distance between genes.
