 മലയാള സാഹിത്യരംഗത്തിനു നിസ്തുല സംഭാവനകൾ നൽകിയ എം.ടി.വാസുദേവൻ നായർ  ജനിച്ചത് 1933 ജൂലൈ 15-നു പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ കൂടല്ലൂരാണ്. പാലക്കാട് വിക്ടോറിയ കോളേജിൽ നിന്നും ഗണിതശാസ്ത്രത്തിൽ ബിരുദം നേടിയ എം.ടി ഒരു വർഷത്തോളം അധ്യാപകനായി സേവനം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു.പത്രാധിപർ, സംവിധായകൻ, തിരക്കഥാകൃത്ത് തുടങ്ങിയ മേഖലകളിലും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.54-ലോളം സിനിമകൾക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം തിരക്കഥ രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.ഹൃദയ സ്പർശിയായ ഒരു രചനാശൈലി കൊണ്ട് വായനക്കാരുടെ മനസ്സിൽ ഇടംനേടിയ എം.ടിയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ കൃതികളാണ് നാലുകെട്ട്, രണ്ടാമൂഴം,കാലം, അസുരവിത്ത് തുടങ്ങിയവ.കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ്, വയലാർ അവാർഡ്, ജ്ഞാനപീഠം,ജെ.സി.ഡാനിയൽ അവാർഡ്, തുടങ്ങിയ നിരവധി അവാർഡുകൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.2005-ൽ പത്മഭൂഷനും ലഭിച്ചു.

According to Arrayanara Agapporul,8,598 poets participated in these SANGAMS and these were provided protection by 197 pandya rulers.In all three Sangams were held of  scholars of that age.

It is believed that Sangam literature developed between 100 to 250 A.D.The Sangam literature is mostly in the form of poetry.Certain Poems have their commentaries as well.The Sangam literature provides us useful information concerning the ancient history and culture of the far south.

Sangam Literature includes Tolkappiyam,Ettutogai,Pattupattu,Pathinenkilkabakku,and two epics named Silappathikaram and Manimegalai.

Onam: Festival of Unity and Happiness

 Onam is festival of happiness ,Unity and harmony.As per the  Malayalam calendar,the festival is celebrated in the first month of Chingam,which overlaps with August-September in the Gregorian Calendar.Government declared 'Onam' as National festival of Kerala in 1961.Onam is celebrated every year in honor their favourite King's arrival at Kerala.People make a lot of arrangements to welcome the King 'Mahabali'.

*LEGENDS 

There are a lot legends in connection with Onam.One of the legends is that Onam is celebrated to commemorate the arrival of King Mahabali from Pathala.The Story goes that the demon King Mahabali who ruled in Kerala was loved by all for his generosity and Kindness.This threatened the Gods and they sought Lord Vishnu's help who disguised himself as a Poor Brahmin and headed to Kerala.He asked the King to give him land that can be covered within 3 feet and Mahabali granted his wish.Soon,the Brahmin started to grow in Size and Covered the Sky and Earth with his first Step and Second Step.Before he could take his third step,the King offered his head for the last Step which led him to Patala.Hence,The King was granted a blessing for his good deeds to visit his people once every year.Onam marks the day of his Annual Visit to Earth.

It is one of the main attractions of the festival.Making Pookkalam is a tradition followed by people of Kerala, during the ten days of the festival.This is done to welcome their benevolent King Mahabali,as his visits Kerala every year on Onam,to enquire about their well-being.

Guru Harkishan Singh's Birth Anniversary

 Guru Harkishan Singh was born on July 7,1656 in Kiratpur,Sivalik Hills.The 8th Nanak,Guru Harikishan Singh is the healer of all wounds and pains of Life.Guru Harikishan at a very young age of 5 years became the 8th Guru after Guru Har Raiji the 7th  Guru .

Guru Harkishan Singh carried on to spread the message of Guru Nanak of One Almighty God and gave the Sikhs his valuable thoughts.During the year 1663 Guru Harkishan was in Delhi when Plague and Smallpox spread across Delhi.He healed and cured many with his blessings but in the end, became a victim of Smallpox himself.Guru Harkishan died on 30 march 1664 after succumbing to Smallpox.

Gandhiji ; Father of Nation

 For Indians,This is an important day because in 1944 , Subhash Chandra Bose for the first time addressed Mahatma Gandhi as 'Father of the Nation'.Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose,who had founded 'Azad Hind Radio' by then,for the first time on July 6,1944 called Mahatma Gandhi  as 'FATHER OF THE NATION' in a radio address from Singapore.Gandhiji,who fought for India's freedom from the hands of Colonial Power.

World UFO Day

 World UFO Day is observed every year on 2 July to commemorate the supposed UFO crash of Roswell UFI incident in 1947.The world UFO day was officially established in 2001 by Haktan Akdogan,a Turkish UFO researcher,and was celebrated on June 24.Hence,due to conflicts with the UFO-related events,the date was later changed to July 2 to coincide with the Washington ,D.C.sightings.World UFO Day was organised by World UFODay.com in 2001,and was put together to bring together enthusiasts of UFO's and the evidence they've gathered to support their existence.The day reminds us of the possible existence of aliens in the Universe.The Main objective behind celebrating World UFO Day is to encourage the government to reveal their flies on UFO sightings and related information.

THE RENAISSANCE

 The term "Renaissance" is French and derived from the Latin word "Renascor" meaning "rebirth".Some Scholars think of "Renaissance" as merely, a continuation and development of the middle ages.The term "Renaissance" is applied not only to literary and artistic movement but also to period during which it flourished,i.e.the year from about 1350 A. D to1600 A.D.The Renaissance also owned a great debt to the Middle Ages themselves.The Renaissance period saw many important development of science technology and reformation movements.

Cultivation of the Cassava plant,a native of Brazil also known as yucca, has spread throughout South Africa,while the culinary use of Tapioca has become famous throughout the world.One of the most popular form of Tapioca is the Tapioca Pearls also called Bobba.Tapioca became a common Asian food after the Cassava was introduced into that part of the world during the 19th century.The Origin and creator the National Tapioca Day are unknown to us.It is sure that this day was created to make tapioca more popular in various industries aside from the  food industry.During this day,various activities like tapioca pearl making,tapioca tea making,purchasing foods with tapioca pearls,and more are conducted by people.

CHAMPARAN SATYAGRAHA,KHEDA SATYAGRAHA

 CHAMPARAN SATYAGRAHA-1917

Gandhi's first great experiment in Satyagraha came in 1917 in Champaran,a distinct in Bihar.The European planters had been forcing the peasants to grow indigo on 1/3(one third) of the total land (This system is known as the Tinkathia System) and also to sell their products at a very low price.Gandhi started a Satyagraha against  'TINKATHIA SYSTEM. Government appointed a committee of enquiry on which Gandhiji served as a member.The Committee of enquiry recommend some measures to alleviate the miseries of Indigo Cultivators thereby bringing the Satyagraha to an end.

KHEDA SATYAGRAHA-1918

The Satyagraha movement in the Kheda district of Gujarat in India was led by Mahatma Gandhi,in which Gandhi agreed to help the peasant movement for income remission in Kheda at the request of  local Peasant leaders.Following the Satyagraha the government had to ultimately accede to the demands of the peasants and issued instructions to collect the revenue only from those who could afford to pay.During the Kheda Satyagraha,many young leaders such as Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Indulal Yagnik became Mahatma Gandhi's followers

 ലോകത്താകമാനമുള്ള  കുട്ടികളുടെ മനസ്സ്  കീഴടക്കിയ പുസ്തമാണ് ജെ.കെ.റൗളിങിൻ്റെ 'ഹാരിപോട്ടർ'. ജെ.കെ.റൗളിങ് എന്ന എഴുത്തുകാരിയുടെ ഭാവനയിൽ വിരിഞ്ഞ കഥാപാത്രമാണ് ഹാരിപോട്ടർ.മാന്ത്രിക വിദ്യാലയത്തിലേക്കുള്ള ഹോഗ് വാർട്സ് എക് സ്പ്രസിനു മുന്നിൽ വിസ്മയമടക്കാതെ നിൽക്കുന്ന വട്ടകണ്ണടക്കാരൻ ഹാരി പോട്ടറിൻ്റെ കവർ ചിത്രവുമായി 'ഹാരി പോട്ടർ ആൻഡ് ഫിലോസഫേഴ്സ് സ്റ്റോൺ' എന്ന പുസ്തകം 1997 ജൂൺ 26-നാണ് വെളിച്ചം കണ്ടത്.വിപണനമൂല്യമില്ല എന്ന കാരണത്താൽ നിരവധി പ്രസാധകർ തിരസ്കരിച്ച 'ഹാരിപോട്ടറെ' ഒടുവിൽ ലണ്ടനിലെ പ്രസാധകരായ ബ്ലൂംസ്ബെറിയാണ് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചത്.

1990-ൽ മാഞ്ചസ്റ്ററിൽ നിന്നും ലണ്ടനിലേക്കുള്ള ഒരു ട്രെയിൻ യാത്രക്കിടയിലാണ് ഹാരിപോട്ടറെന്ന കഥാപാത്രം റൌളിങ്ങിൻ്റെ ഭാവനയിൽ രൂപപ്പെട്ടത്.പിന്നീടതിന് അച്ചടി മഷി പുരളാൻ ഒട്ടേറെ പ്രസാധകരെ തേടേണ്ടി വന്നു.80-ലധികം ഭാഷകളിലായി 500 മില്യൺ കോപ്പികളാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൻ്റെ വിറ്റഴിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.

 ജൂൺ 26; അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ദുരുപയോഗം, അനധികൃതമായ ലഹരിക്കടത്ത് എന്നിവക്കെതിരായ ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു.യുവജനങ്ങളിൽ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉപയോഗത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മുക്തമാക്കാൻ സമൂഹം നൽകുന്ന പിന്തുണ പ്രകടമാക്കുന്ന ദിവസം കൂടിയാണ് ഈ ദിനം.1987 ജൂണിൽ ഓസ്ട്രിയയിലെ വിയന്നയിൽ നടന്ന ഉച്ചകോടിയിലാണ്  ലഹരിക്കെതിരായുള്ള ഒരു ദിനാചരണത്തിന്റെ ആവശ്യം ഉന്നയിച്ചത്.1988 ജൂൺ 26 മുതൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭ ലഹരി ഉത്പന്നങ്ങളുടെ വിപണനവും ഉപയോഗവും അനധികൃത വ്യാപാരവും നിയന്ത്രിക്കാനുദ്ദേശിച്ച് ആചരിക്കുന്ന ദിവസം.2023 ലെ ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ സന്ദേശം"People first:Stop stigma and discrimination, strengthen prevention"എന്നതാണ്.

NATIONAL DOCTOR'S DAY

                       People of India celebrates July 1st as ' National Doctor's Day' commemorating the Iconic and Internationally renowned medical practitioner,Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy,who served as a Physician,freedom fighter,politician,social worker and educationist.B.C.Roy was born on 1 july 1882 in Panta and died on the same date(July1) in 1962 in then Calcutta after treating some patients in morning hours.He passed the Entrance Examination from the Patna Collegiate School in 1897,and First Arts Examination from Patna College in 1899.He passed the Bachelor of Arts Examination with Honours in Maths in 1901 after which he joined the Calcutta Medical college.His medical career as a physician began after his post-graduation in 1911.Dr.B.C.Roy later joined the calcutta Medical College as a faculty member.He was admitted to the St.Bartholmew's Institution in London in 1909 and within about two years he had the distinction of Passing both  the M.R.C.P(London) and F.R.C.S(England) being placed first and former.

                           

               After independence of India,B.C.Roy became Governor Uttar Pradesh and a year later ,in 1948,the second chief minister of West Bengal .The occation commemorates the spirit of doctors across the globe who work day and night consistently to ensure well-being of patients.He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1961.July 1 thus being observed as Doctor's Day as a tribute to B.C.Roy's contribution to the health Sector.  .The first National Doctors Day was celebrated by the Indian Medical Association(IMA) on July 1,1991.

             Dr.B.C.Roy was one of the most prominent leaders of the 20th century India .Dr.B.C.Roy was a good Philanthropist and was also Mahatma Gandhi's Physician.he gave his life to the people,treate countless individuals,and inspired millions.Dr.B.C.Roy was passed away in 1962 .After his passing,his house was gifted to the public for running a nursing home. National Award was instituted in his memory for work in the areas of medicine,politics,science,philosophy,literature and arts.Doctors are the backbone of the country's healthcare system. Doctors who follow medical ethics strictly play a crucial role in Our Society.Their contribution in ensuring wellness for humanity is unparalleled and any amount of gratitude with fall short for the services they render,often neglecting their own health an d families.They devote their lives to treating and helping patients with a speedy recovery from illness or any other health conditions.

NATIONAL STATISTICS DAY

India observes June 29 as National Statistics Day every year to honour Prof.Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis,who is founder of The Indian Statistical Institute. The National Statistics Day of India is observed on the 29th of June every year by arranging seminars, programmes, and campaigns across the country.

The first National Statistics Day was commemorated in 2007. Following that event, a proclamation was released in the Indian Gazette on June 5, 2007.   International Olympic Day is celebrated on June 23 each year and was first observed in 1948.It aims to bring the world together to celebrate the spirit of Olympic Games,and Sports as a whole.The day marks the founding of the international Olympic committee on 23rd June,1894 at the Sorbonne,Paris.Pierre de Coubertin,a French historian and educator,rallied at revival of the Ancient Olympic Games on this day.The Main purpose of observing International Olympics Day is to promote and spread awareness about the Olympic Movement,and to encourage more and more people to take part in the Olympic Games.The theme for 2023 is #LetsMove which reflects the Olympic movements desire to encourage people to take the time to move.

    The Olympics is the world's largest international multi-sport event held 4 years.The Modern Olympic Games are inspired by the Greek's ancient Olympic Games held in Olympia,from the 8th century B.C to the 4th century A.D .The first modern summer Olympic Games were held in 1896 in Athens, Greece.Since its foundation, international Olympic Day has widened its audience and has adapted to local specificity. The Major purpose of International Olympic Day is to encourage more and more participation regardless of age,Caste, social background,gender ,or sports activities and to focus on expanding opportunities in Cultural , educational,and sporting activities.

 In Ancient Greece,in honour of Zeus,the father of all Greek gods,a religious festival was held each year.The Olympic Games were part of that Festival.It began in 776 B.C. when a cook fro m the city of Elis won a 600-foot-long foot race.For the first 13 years,It was the only athletic event of the Games.Later from 776 B.C., Olympics were held every four Years for about centuries.The Olympic Day Run is the core activity of Olympic Day that was launched in 1987.The Run is organised by National Olympics Committees all over the globe 🌍 to celebrate Olympic Day and promote the practice of mass sport.45 Nations participated in the first Olympic run held 1987 which has increased to more than 150 nations at the present time.

ഡോക്ടേഴ് സ് ദിനം(DOCTOR'S DAY)

                         വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്ര രംഗത്ത് മികച്ച സംഭാവനകൾ നൽകിയ ഡോ.ബിധാൻ ചന്ദ്ര റോയിയുടെ ജന്മദിനമാണ് ഡോക്ടേ ഴ്സ് ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നത്.1882 ജൂലൈ 1-നാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചത്.അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ ജന്മവാർഷിക ദിനവും ചരമവാർഷിക ദിനവും ജൂലൈ ഒന്നിനാണ്.കൊൽക്കത്തയിൽ മെഡിക്കൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ശേഷം ലണ്ടനിൽ നിന്ന് എം.ആർ.സി.പി.യും എഫ്.ആർ.സി.എസും നേടി ഇന്ത്യയിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തി സേവനം ആരംഭിച്ചു.കൊൽക്കത്ത മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിലും കാംബൽ മെഡിക്കൽ കോളേജിലും അധ്യാപകനായി.പിന്നീട് രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച ബി.സി.റോയി പശ്ചിബംഗാളിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായി.1948 മുതൽ അദ്ദേഹം അന്തരിക്കുന്ന 1962 വരെ 14 വർഷം മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി സ്ഥാനം വഹിച്ചു.

                               സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ സമര സേനാനി,സാമൂഹിക പ്രവർത്തകൻ,രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവർത്തകൻ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വിചക്ഷണൻ എന്നീ മേഖലകളിലും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.ജനങ്ങൾക്ക് മികച്ച ചികത്സ നൽകാൻ അഹോരാത്രം പ്രവർത്തിച്ച ബി.സി.റോയി Medical Ethics-നെ മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചു. .വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്ര രംഗത്തെ മികച്ച സംഭാവനകൾ പരിഗണിച്ച് രാജ്യം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് പത്മശ്രീ നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു.

1991-ൽ കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ ജൂലൈ ഒന്ന് ഡോക്ടേഴ്സ് ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.1961 ഫെബ്രുവരി 4-ന് പരമോന്നത ബഹുമതിയായ ഭാരതരത്നം നൽകി ഡോ.ബി.സി.റോയിയെ ആദരിച്ചു.ഡോക്ടർമാരുടെ സംഭാവനകളെ അഭിനന്ദിക്കുക എന്നതാണ് ഡോക്ടേഴ്സ്  ദിനം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.

                          

ലോക മഴക്കാട് ദിനം(WORLD RAINFOREST DAY)

                             ജൂൺ 22-ലോക മഴക്കാട് ദിനം .ഭൂമിയിൽ ജീവൻ നിലനിർത്തുന്നതിൽ മഴക്കാടുകൾ പ്രധാന പങ്കുവഹിക്കുന്നു.ലോകത്തിലെ പകുതിയിലേറെ ജന്തുജാലങ്ങളുടെ ആവാസ കേന്ദ്രം കൂടിയാണ് മഴക്കാടുകൾ.അവ ശുദ്ധജലത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രധാന സ്രോതസ്സും കാലാവസ്ഥ സുസ്ഥിരമായി നിലനിർത്തുന്നതിന് അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതവുമാണ്.വളരെയധികം മഴ ലഭിക്കുന്ന വനങ്ങളെയാണ് മഴക്കാടുകൾ എന്നു പറയുന്നത്.സാധാരണ ഒരു വർഷത്തിൽ 1750 മി.മീറ്ററിൽ കൂടുതൽ മഴ ലഭിക്കുന്ന വനങ്ങളെ മഴക്കാടുകൾ എന്നു പറയാം.

                                     

                             UNEP-WCMC വനവർഗീകരണ രീതിപ്രകാരം ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ പ്രദേശത്ത് കാണപ്പെടുന്ന നിത്യഹരിത വനങ്ങളാണ് മഴക്കാടുകൾ  .ഭൂമിയിലെ മൂന്നിൽ രണ്ട് ഭാഗം സസ്യങ്ങളും ജന്തുക്കളും ജീവിക്കുന്നത് മഴക്കാടുകളിലാണ്.വണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞ തായ്ത്തടി ഉള്ള വൃക്ഷങ്ങളാണ് പ്രധാനമായും മഴക്കാടുകളിലുള്ളത്.അപൂർവ്വങ്ങളായ സസ്യങ്ങളും ജന്തുക്കളും ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്നത് മഴക്കാടുകളിലാണ്.

                    മലയാളികളുടെ വായനാശീലം വളർത്തുന്നതിൽ നിസ്തുല പങ്ക് വഹിച്ച പി.എൻ.പണിക്കർ ചെങ്ങനാശ്ശേരിക്കടുത്തുള്ള നീലംപേരൂരിൽ 1909 മാർച്ച് 1-ന് ജനിച്ചു.മലയാളം ഹയർ പരീക്ഷ പാസ്സായ ശേഷം നീലംപേരൂരിൽ മിഡിൽ സ്കൂൾ  അധ്യാപകനായി.അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ പതിനേഴാം വയസിൽ സനാതനധർമ്മം എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു വായനശാല സ്ഥാപിച്ചു കൊണ്ടാണ് ഗ്രന്ഥശാല പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിനു തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചത്. സനാതന ധർമവായനശാലയുടെയും പി.കെ.മെമ്മോറിയൽ ഗ്രന്ഥശാലയുടെയും സ്ഥാപകനും ആദ്യ സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായിരുന്നു പി.എൻ.പണിക്കർ.ഇരുപത്-ഇരുപത്തൊന്ന് നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകളിൽ വായനയുടെ ലോകത്തേക്ക് കൂടുതൽ ആളുകളെ ആകർഷിക്കാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞു.അതിനായി അദ്ദേഹം നിരവധി ഗ്രന്ഥശാലകൾ കേരളത്തിലങ്ങോളം ഇങ്ങോളം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു.1945-ൽ 47 ഗ്രന്ഥശാലകളുടെ പ്രവർത്തകരുടെ സമ്മേളനം വിളിച്ചു കൂട്ടി.ആ സമ്മേളനത്തിൻ്റെ തീരുമാന പ്രകാരം 1947-ൽ രൂപീകൃതമായ തിരു-കൊച്ചി ഗ്രന്ഥശാല സംഘമാണ് 1957-ൽ കേരള ഗ്രന്ഥശാലാ സംഘമായത്.

                                അധ്യാപനത്തോടൊപ്പം ഗ്രന്ഥശാലാ പ്രവർത്തനവും മുന്നോട്ടു കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു കഴിഞ്ഞു.സർക്കാരിൽ നിന്നും പ്രത്യേക അനുമതി വാങ്ങിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം മുഴുവൻ സമയ ഗ്രന്ഥശാലാ പ്രവർത്തകനായത്.കേരളത്തിലെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം വായനയുടെ സന്ദേശം പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചു "വായിച്ചു വളരുക,ചിന്തിച്ചു വിവേകം നേടുക"-എന്ന  മുദ്രാവാക്യം ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിച്ച പി.എൻ.പണിക്കർ ഗ്രന്ഥശാല സംഘം സെക്രട്ടറിയായും,ഗ്രന്ഥശാല സംഘത്തിൻ്റെ മുഖപത്രമായ ഗ്രന്ഥലോകത്തിൻ്റെ  പത്രാധിപരുമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു.1977-ലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ആ സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നൊക്കെ വിരമിച്ചത്.32 വർഷക്കാലം ഗ്രന്ഥശാല സംഘത്തിൻ്റെയും സ്റ്റേറ്റ് റീഡേഴ് സ് സെൻ്ററിൻ്റെയും എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഡയറക്ടറായി അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവൃത്തിച്ചു.കാൻഫെഡ് ന്യൂസ്,നമ്മൂടെ പത്രം,നാട്ടുവെളിച്ചം തുടങ്ങീ നിരവധി പത്രങ്ങളുടെ പത്രാധിപരായിരുന്നു.Kerala Public Libraries(Kerala Granthasala Sanghom)Act,1989 നിലവിൽ വന്നതും   അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രവർത്തന ഫലമായാണ്.

                     1995-ൽ 86-ാം വയസ്സിൽ അദ്ദേഹം അന്തരിച്ചു.അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ ചരമദിനമായ ജൂൺ 19 ആയിരത്തി തെള്ളായിരത്തി തൊണ്ണൂറ്റി ആറു മുതൽ വായനാ ദിനമായി ആചരിച്ചു വരുന്നു. പി.എൻ.പണിക്കർ അദ്ധ്യാപകനായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ച അമ്പലപ്പുഴ സർക്കാർ എൽ.പി.സ്കൂൾ,അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ സ്മാരകമായി പി.എൻ.പണിക്കർ സ്മാരക ഗവ.എൽ.പി.സ്കൂളായി 2014-ൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പ് പുനർനാമകരണം ചെയ്തു. പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി 2017-ൽ കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ വായനാ ദിനമായ ജൂൺ 19 ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ദേശീയ വായനാ ദിനമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.തുടർന്നുള്ള ഒരു മാസക്കാലം ദേശീയ വായനാ മാസവും ആചരിച്ചു.

ഗസറ്റഡ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പച്ചമഷിയിൽ ഒപ്പിടണമെന്ന് എവിടെയാണ് പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നത്?

 സാധാരണ ഗസറ്റഡ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പച്ചമഷിയിലാണ് ഒപ്പിട്ടു കാണുന്നത്.ഗസറ്റഡ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ പച്ചമഷിയിൽ ഒപ്പിടണമെന്ന് നിലവിലെ ചട്ടങ്ങളിൽ ഒരിടത്തും പറയുന്നില്ല.സർക്കാർ ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ഓഫീസ് നടപടി ക്രമങ്ങൾ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്ന മാന്വൽ ഒഫ് ഓഫീസ് പ്രൊസീജർ, സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റ് ഓഫീസ് മാന്വൽ എന്നിവയിലൊന്നും പച്ചമഷി ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒപ്പിടണമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല.പച്ചമഷി പ്രയോഗം കൊളോണിയൽ കാലത്ത് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഒരു ചട്ടം ആയിരുന്നു.ഒരു ഓഫീസിലെ ഉന്നത ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ പച്ചമഷി ഉപയോഗിക്കണമെന്ന ചട്ടം നിലനിന്നിരുന്നു.അതിന്നും പിന്തുടരുന്നു.പച്ച,നീല, കറുപ്പ് എന്നീ മഷികൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കാം.എന്നാൽ ചുമപ്പ് (ചെമപ്പ്) ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ട സന്ദർഭത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് വ്യവസ്ഥാ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ പ്രത്യേക പരാമർശമുണ്ട്.

ആചാര്യ പ്രഫുല്ല ചന്ദ്രറായ്

 പ്രമുഖ പണ്ഡിതനായ പ്രഫുല്ല ചന്ദ്രറായ് 1861 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 2-ന് കൊൽക്കത്തയിലാണ് ജനിച്ചത്.രസതന്ത്ര ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ, വ്യവസായ സംരംഭകൻ എന്നീ നിലകളിലും പ്രശസ്തൻ.ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യ മരുന്നു നിർമ്മാണ കമ്പനിയായ ബംഗാൾ കെമിക്കൽ സ് ആൻഡ് ഫാർമസ്യൂട്ടിക്കൽസ് സ്ഥാപിച്ചതും പ്രഫുല്ല ചന്ദ്രറായ് ആണ്. ഇന്ത്യൻ രസതന്ത്രത്തിന്റെ പിതാവായി വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തെ യാണ്.

അദ്ദേഹം 1944 ജൂൺ 16-ന് അന്തരിച്ചു.

ലോക രക്തദാന ദിനം(WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY)

ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയുടെ ആഹ്വാനമനുസരിച്ച് എല്ലാ വര്‍ഷവും ജൂണ്‍ 14 -ന് ലോക രക്ത ദാന ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു. ആദ്യമായി രക്തഗ്രൂപ്പുകളെ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ കാൾലാൻ്റ് സ്റ്റെയിനർ എന്ന ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ്റെ ജന്മദിനമായ ജൂൺ പതിന്നാലാണ് ലോകരക്ത ദാന ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നത്.2005 ജൂൺ 14 -നാണ് ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടന ആദ്യമായി ലോക രക്തദാന ദിനമായി ആചരിച്ചത്.  കൂടുതല്‍ പേരെ രക്തം ദാനം ചെയ്യാന്‍ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള രക്തദാതാക്കളോട് നന്ദി പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമാണ് ഈ ദിനത്തിൻ്റെ  പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങള്‍. രക്തദാനത്തെ കുറിച്ചുള്ള അറിവില്ലായ്മകളും അനാവശ്യ ഭയങ്ങളും മാറ്റിവെച്ച് ഈ ' ഒഴുകുന്ന ജീവനെ' പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കാൻ നാം ഓരോരുത്തരും സന്നദ്ധരാകണം.

            വളരെ സുരക്ഷിതവും ലളിതവുമായ ഒന്നാണ് രക്തദാനം.    ആരോഗ്യമുള്ള ഏതൊരാള്‍ക്കും രക്തദാനം ചെയ്യാം. പ്രായം 18 നും 65 നും ഇടയില്‍ ആയിരിക്കണം. ഭാരം 45-50 കിലോഗ്രാമില്‍ കുറയാതിരിക്കുകയും ശരീര താപനില സാധരണ നിലയിലായിരിക്കണം. രക്തത്തിലെ ഹീമോഗ്ലോബിൻ്റെ അളവ് 12.5 ശതമാനത്തില്‍ കുറയരുത്. മൂന്ന് മാസത്തില്‍ ഒരിക്കല്‍ മാത്രമേ ഒരാള്‍ക്ക് രക്തം ദാനം ചെയ്യാന്‍ അനുമതിയുള്ളൂ.എല്ലാവർക്കും രക്ത ദാനം ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയുമോ?.ആർക്കൊക്കെയാണ് രക്തദാനം ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിക്കാത്തത്?.

രക്തദാനം ചെയ്യാന്‍ പാടില്ലാത്തവർ

*മഞ്ഞപ്പിത്തം പിടിപെട്ടു ഒരു വർഷത്തേക്ക് രക്തദാനം പാടില്ല

*മലേറിയ വന്നിട്ടുള്ളവര്‍ അതിനു ശേഷം 12 മാസത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ രക്തം ദാനം ചെയ്യാന്‍ പാടില്ല. 

* HIV/AIDS,ഹെപറ്റൈറ്റിസ് ബി/സി  എന്നിവയോ രക്തത്തിലൂടെ പകരുന്ന രോഗങ്ങളോ ഉള്ളവർ രക്ത ദാനം ചെയ്യരുത്.

* മദ്യം, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഇവ ഉപയോഗിച്ചവര്‍ രക്തം ദാനം ചെയ്യരുത്.

* ഉയര്‍ന്ന രക്തസമ്മര്‍ദ്ദം ഉള്ളവര്‍, പ്രമേഹ രോഗത്തിൻ്റെ പാര്‍ശ്വഫലങ്ങള്‍ ഉളവായിട്ടുള്ള വ്യക്തികള്‍ പൊതുവേ രക്തദാനതിനു യോഗ്യരല്ല. 

*സ്ത്രീകള്‍ ഗര്‍ഭധാരണ സമയത്തും മുലയൂട്ടുന്ന അവസരത്തിലും രക്തദാനം ചെയ്യാൻ പാടില്ല. 
ടാറ്റൂ, ബോഡി പിയേഴ്‌സിങ് ഇവ ചെയ്തവര്‍ ആറുമാസത്തേക്ക് രക്തദാനം ചെയ്യാൻ പാടില്ല.

രക്തദാനത്തിലൂടെ അനേകം ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം രക്തദാതാവിനും നിരവധി ഗുണങ്ങള്‍ ലഭിക്കുന്നു. ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ചുള്ള രക്തദാനം ശരീരത്തിലെ രക്ത ചംക്രമണ വ്യവസ്ഥയെ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ഹൃദ്രോഗം തുടങ്ങിയ ജീവിതശൈലീ രോഗങ്ങളെ ഒരുപരിധിവരെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. കൂടാതെ മൂന്നുമാസത്തിലൊരിക്കല്‍ വിവിധ രോഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള പരിശോധനയും ഇതിലൂടെ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.

നിത്യേനയുണ്ടാകുന്ന റോഡപകടങ്ങള്‍, ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ചുണ്ടാകുന്ന പ്രകൃതി ദുരന്തങ്ങള്‍, ശസ്ത്രക്രിയകള്‍, പ്രസവം തുടങ്ങിയ സന്ദര്‍ഭങ്ങളിലും, ക്യാന്‍സര്‍, ഡെങ്ക്യു, ഹീമോഫീലിയ, താലസീമിയ തുടങ്ങിയ രോഗാവസ്ഥകളിലും, ജീവന്‍ നിലനിര്‍ത്തുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടി രക്തമോ, രക്തഘടകങ്ങളോ ആവശ്യമായി വരുന്നു. ഇത്തരം സന്ദര്‍ഭങ്ങളില്‍ രക്തം ആവശ്യമായി വരുന്നവരുടെ ആരോഗ്യകരമായ ജീവിതം നിലനിര്‍ത്താന്‍ സന്നദ്ധരക്തദാനത്തിലൂടെ മാത്രമേ കഴിയൂ എന്ന സന്ദേശം ജനങ്ങളില്‍ എത്തിക്കാന്‍ ലോകരക്തദാന ദിനാചരണത്തിലൂടെ സാധിക്കുന്നു

     ഓരോ രണ്ടു സെക്കൻ്റിലും ഒരാൾക്ക് രക്തം ആവശ്യമായി വരുന്നു.മനുഷ്യ രക്തം കൃത്രിമമായി നിർമ്മിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കില്ല.മനുഷ്യ രക്തത്തിനു പകരം വയ്ക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വസ്തുവും    ഈ     പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിൽ  ഇതുവരെ    കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. പ്രതിഫലേച്ഛയില്ലാതെ കൃത്യമായ ഇടവേളകളില്‍ ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ച് രക്തം ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിലൂടെ മാത്രമേ രക്തത്തിൻ്റെ ലഭ്യതയും, സുരക്ഷിതത്വവും ഉറപ്പാക്കാന്‍ കഴിയൂ. 18-നും, 65-നും ഇടയില്‍ പ്രായവും ശാരീരികവും, മാനസികവുമായ ആരോഗ്യമുള്ള ഏതൊരു വ്യക്തിക്കും മൂന്നുമാസത്തിലൊരിക്കല്‍ രക്തം ദാനം ചെയ്യാവുന്നതാണ്. സാങ്കേതിക വളര്‍ച്ചയുടെ ഫലമായി ദാനം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്ന ഓരോ യൂണിറ്റ് രക്തവും പ്ലാസ്മ, പ്ലേറ്റ് ലെറ്റ്, പി.ആര്‍.ബി.സി., ക്രയോപെസിപ്പിറ്റേറ്റ് എന്നീ ഘടകങ്ങളായി വേര്‍തിരിച്ച് 4 പേരുടെ വരെ ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.

                         ഒരു തുള്ളി രക്തം ഒരു ജീവൻ രക്ഷിച്ചേക്കാം.രക്ത ദാനം മഹാദാനമായി മാറുന്നതും അതു കൊണ്ടാണ്.ഒഴുകുന്ന ജീവൻ എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന രക്തത്തിൻ്റെ 15 ശതമാനം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടാൽ പോലും പുറത്തു നിന്നും രക്തം സ്വീകരിക്കേണ്ടി വരും.രക്ത ദാനം നടത്തുന്നതിലൂടെ മാത്രമേ ആവശ്യക്കാരിലേക്ക് രക്തം എത്തിക്കാൻ കഴിയൂ.രക്ത ദാനം മഹാദാനമണെന്ന വസ്തുത വിസ്മരിക്കരുത്.

മിഹിർ സെന്നിൻ്റെ ചരമദിനം

 ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിനെ ഫ്രാൻസിൽ നിന്നും വേർതിരിക്കുന്ന ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ചാനൽ (38.5 കിലോമീറ്റർ 14 മണിക്കൂറും,45 മിനിറ്റും)  നീന്തി കടന്ന ആദ്യത്തെ ഇന്ത്യാക്കാരനും ,ഏഷ്യാക്കാരനുമാണ് മിഹിർ സെൻ.1958 സെപ്റ്റംബർ 27-നാണ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ചാനൽ നീന്തിക്കടന്നത്.

1930 നവംബർ 16 -നാണ് മിഹിർ സെൻ ബംഗാൾ പ്രസിഡൻസിയിൽ ജനിച്ചത്. ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കും ശ്രീലങ്കയ്ക്കും ഇടയിലുള്ള പാക്ക് കടലിടുക്ക്,തുർക്കിയെ വിഭജിക്കുന്ന ദാർദ്നെല്ലസ് -പോറസ് കടലിടുക്ക്,പനാമ കനാൽ,ജിബ്രാൾട്ടൻ കടലിടുക്ക് എന്നീ നാലു കടലിടുക്കുകൾ കൂടി പിന്നീടു മിഹിർ സെൻ നീന്തിക്കടന്നു.രാജ്യം പത്മശ്രീയും,പത്മഭൂഷനും നൽകി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആദരിച്ചു.

ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സുവർണ്ണ മത്സ്യം എന്നു വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന മിഹിർ സെൻ 1997 ജൂൺ 11-ന് അന്തരിച്ചു.

ബാലവേലക്കെതിരെ അണിചേരാം

ബാലവേല ഒരു ആഗോള പ്രശ്നമാണ്.ലോകത്ത് ഏഴിനും പതിനേഴിനും മധ്യേ പ്രായമുള്ള പതിനാറ് കോടി കുട്ടികൾ ബാലവേല ചെയ്യുന്നതായി  ' Save the Children 'എന്ന സംഘടന പുറത്തുവിട്ട കണക്കുകൾ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.ഇതിൽ ഏഴു കോടി തൊണ്ണൂറു ലക്ഷം കുട്ടികളും അപകടകരമായ മേഖലകളിൽ തൊഴിലിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവരവാണ്.സ്കൂളിൽ പോകേണ്ട പ്രായത്തിൽ, സംരക്ഷണയും കരുതലും ആവശ്യമുള്ള പ്രായത്തിൽ തൻ്റേതല്ലാത്ത കാരണത്താൽ തൊഴിലിടങ്ങളിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചെറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ബാല്യങ്ങളെ അതിൽ നിന്നും മോചിപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ദിനമാണ് ജൂൺ 12.

                  കുട്ടികളെ ശാരീരികവും,മാനസീകവും സാമൂഹികവുമായി വേദനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന തൊഴിലുകളെയാണ് ബാലവേലയായി നിർവ്വചിക്കുന്നത്.1989-ൽ ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭയുടെ ജനറൽ അസംബ്ലിയാണ് ലോക ബാലവേല വിരുദ്ധ ദിനമായി(WORLD DAY AGAINST CHILD LABOUR) പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.1992-ൽ ഐ.എൽ.ഒ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour- ലിൽ നൂറിലധികം രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ഒപ്പിട്ടത് പ്രശംസനീയമാണ്.2002 -മുതലാണ് അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തൊഴിൽ സംഘടനയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ബാലവേല വിരുദ്ധ ദിനമായി ആചരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയത്.ഈ വർഷത്തെ (2023) അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ബാലവേല വിരുദ്ധ ദിനത്തിന്റെ തീം "SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR ALL.END CHILD LABOUR" എന്നാണ്.

ഇന്ത്യയും ബാലവേലയും

കൊളോണിയൽ ഭരണകാലത്തെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ബാലവേലക്കെതിരെ നിയമങ്ങൾ നിലവിൽ വന്നിരുന്നു.1987-ൽ ബാലവേല ക്കെതിരെ ദേശീയ നയം ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചു.1996 ഡിസംബർ 10-ന് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പരമോന്നത നീതി പീഠം ബാലവേല ഇല്ലാതാക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു വിധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.1997-ലെ അടിമ നിരോധന നിയമം,2000-ലെ JJ Act എന്നീ നിയമങ്ങൾ ബാലവേലക്കെതിരെയുണ്ട്.ഭരണഘടനയിലെ ആർട്ടിക്കിൾ 24 പ്രകാരം ബാലവേല നിയമവിരുദ്ധമാണ്. 39(F),  21(A) എന്നീ ഭരണഘടനാ വകപ്പുകളും ബാലവേല ഇല്ലാതാക്കുന്നതിന് ഏറെ സഹായകരമാണ്.

.ശരണബാല്യം,കാവൽ പ്ലസ് എന്നീ സർക്കാർ പദ്ധതികളും ബാലവേല ഉന്മൂലനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് സഹായകരമാണ്.ബാലവേല സംബന്ധിച്ച് വിവരം നൽകുന്ന വ്യക്തിക്ക് 2500 രൂപ ഇൻസെന്റീവ് വനിതാ ശിശുക്ഷേമ വകുപ്പ് നൽകി വരുന്നു.

ചൈൽഡ് ലൈനിന്റെ ടോൾ ഫ്രീ നമ്പരായ 1098 ലോ, അസിസ്റ്റൻ്റ് ലേബർ ഓഫീസറെയോ (Grade 2) വിളിച്ചറിയിക്കുക.

    2012-ൽ കേരത്തെ ബാലവേല വിമുക്ത സംസ്ഥാനമായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.ബാലവേല ഇല്ലാതാകേണ്ടതിൻ്റെ ആവശ്യകതയെപ്പറ്റി അവബോധം സൃഷ്ടിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയുള്ള ഈ ദിനം കാര്യക്ഷമമായി വിനിയോഗിക്കാൻ എല്ലാവർക്കും കഴിയട്ടെ എന്ന് ആശംസിക്കുന്നു.

ലോകസമുദ്ര ദിനം( WORLD OCEAN DAY)

 രണ്ടോ അതിലധികമോ ഭൂഖണ്ഡങ്ങളെ വേർതിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ ഉപ്പ് ജലാശയമാണ് സമുദ്രം.സമുദ്രത്തെ മലിനീകരണത്തിൽ നിന്നും , അമിത വിഭവ  ചൂഷണത്തിൽ നിന്നും സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതി െൻ്റ ആവശ്യകത ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ദിനമാണ് ലോക സമുദ്ര ദിനം.

 വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന ജീവജാലങ്ങളുടെ കലവറയാണ് സമുദ്രം.ആഗോളതാപനത്തിന് ഇടയാക്കുന്ന  കാർബൺ ഡൈ ഓക്സൈഡിനെ ആഗീകരണം ചെയ്യുന്നതിൽ സമുദ്രങ്ങൾ മുഖ്യ പങ്കു വഹിക്കുന്നു.നാം ശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഓക്സിജ െൻ്റ     മുഖ്യ പങ്കും സമുദ്രമാണ് നൽകുന്നത്.കാലാസ്ഥയെ സമുദ്രങ്ങൾ നിർണ്ണായകമായി സ്വാധീനിക്കുന്നു.മനുഷ്യനു വേണ്ട ഭക്ഷണത്തിൽ നല്ലൊരു പങ്കും സമുദ്രം പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.പക്ഷേ, മനുഷ്യൻ കടലിനെ മാലിന്യ സംഭരണിയായി മാറ്റുകയും,മത്സ്യസമ്പത്ത് വിവേചനരഹിതമായി കൊള്ളയടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

എല്ലാ വർഷവും ജൂൺ 8 ലോകസമുദ്ര ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു.ജൂൺ 8 ലോക സമുദ്ര ദിനമായി ആചരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയത് 1992-ൽ ബ്രസീലിലെ റി യോഡി ജനീറോയിൽ നടന്ന ഭൌമ ഉച്ചക്കോടിയിലാണ്.1998-ൽ യു.എൻ സമുദ്ര വർഷമായി ആചരിച്ചിരുന്നു.വൈവിധ്യമാർന്ന ജന്തു സസ്യജാലങ്ങളുടെ കലവറയായ സമുദ്രത്തെ മലീനീകരണങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും അമിത വിഭവ ചൂഷണങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും പരിരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടത് നാം ഓരോരുത്തരുടെയും കടമയാണെന്ന ഉത്തമ ബോധ്യത്തോടെ ലോക സമുദ്രദിനം നമുക്കാചരിക്കാം.

ലോക ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷാ ദിനം

നമ്മുടെ ശരീരത്തിലെ ഊർജ്ജത്തിന്റെ ഉറവിടമാണ് ഭക്ഷണം.നമുക്കാവശ്യമായ എല്ലാ പോഷകങ്ങളും, കാർബോഹൈഡ്രേറ്റുകളും, കൊഴുപ്പും,പ്രോട്ടീനും ഭക്ഷണം പ്രദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.ഓരോ ജീവന്റെയും ആരോഗ്യം ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിൽ പോഷകസമൃദ്ധമായ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം വലുതാണ്.മായം കലരാത്ത, വിഷമയമില്ലാത്ത ഭക്ഷണം ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതോടൊപ്പം ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിനെതിരെയുള്ള പോരാട്ടം കൂടിയാണ് ഈ ദിനാചരണത്തിലൂടെ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.

 ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടനയും (WHO) ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭയ്ക്ക് കീഴിലുള്ള ഭക്ഷ്യ-കാർഷിക സംഘടനയും ചേർന്നാണ് ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷാ ദിനം വർഷം തോറും ആചരിക്കുന്നത്.ഭക്ഷ്യജന്യ രോഗങ്ങളും മരണവും സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന പ്രതിസന്ധി വലുതാണ്.ഭക്ഷ്യജന്യ രോഗങ്ങൾ 5 വയസ്സിനു താഴെയുള്ള കുട്ടികളെയും സാമ്പത്തികമായി പിന്നാക്കം നിൽക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളെയും ബാധിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയതോടെയാണ് 2018-ൽ യു.എൻ ജനറൽ അസംബ്ലി ജൂൺ ഏഴ് ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷാ ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കണം എന്ന ആശയം മുന്നോട്ടു വച്ചത്.ഈ ദിനാചരണം കൊണ്ട് വലിയ അവബോധം ജനങ്ങളിൽ സൃഷ്ടിക്കാൻ യു.എന്നിനു കഴിഞ്ഞു.സുരക്ഷിതമല്ലാത്ത ഭക്ഷണം കാരണം പ്രതിദിനം ശരാശരി 1,60,000 ആളുകളാണ് രോഗികളാകുന്നതെന്ന് ലോകാരോഗ്യ സംഘടന ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി ന്നു.ഭക്ഷ്യസുരക്ഷയ്ക്കായി ആഗോള തലത്തിലുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ കൂടുതൽ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള പ്രമേയം 2020-ൽ ലോകാരോഗ്യ അസംബ്ലി പാസാക്കി .

     'ഭക്ഷണ നിലവാരങ്ങൾ ജീവൻ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നു' എന്നതാണ് 2023-ലെ ലോക ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷാ ദിനത്തിന്റെ പ്രമേയം.ഭക്ഷ്യ സുരക്ഷാ ദിനത്തിന്റെ (World Food Safety Day)
