NATIONAL TAPIOCA DAY

 National Tapioca Day is observed every year on June 28.This is a special day for all of you who love to eat tapioca such as tapioca pearls.This event is all about commemorating tapioca in all its forms as well as cooking and eating various tapioca dishes .Tapioca are a starchy vegetable belonging to the Cassava family.It Originates from Brazil and Certain South American Regions.Tapioca root is the underground portion of the Cassava Plant.

Cultivation of the Cassava plant,a native of Brazil also known as yucca, has spread throughout South Africa,while the culinary use of Tapioca has become famous throughout the world.One of the most popular form of Tapioca is the Tapioca Pearls also called Bobba.Tapioca became a common Asian food after the Cassava was introduced into that part of the world during the 19th century.The Origin and creator the National Tapioca Day are unknown to us.It is sure that this day was created to make tapioca more popular in various industries aside from the  food industry.During this day,various activities like tapioca pearl making,tapioca tea making,purchasing foods with tapioca pearls,and more are conducted by people.
